About Leah
Leah Bruno is a Washington-based pianist, percussionist, and educator. Leah graduated from the UBC School of Music (BMus ‘24) where she studied piano with Terence Dawson and Rena Sharon. She has also studied privately with respected musicians both in Bellingham and abroad, including Douglas Finch (improvisation), Stephen Chatman (composition), Edward Top (composition), and Michael Jarrett (percussion).
Her breadth of experience across multiple instruments and genres leads to a uniquely nuanced performance practice. Leah’s work is often described as lyrical, insightful, and deeply committed to the music.
"Also an educator, Leah is committed to developing thoughtfulness and confidence in other musicians. She consistently trains her students to think critically and problem-solve while at the piano."
Leah teaches beginning through advanced piano lessons, as well as beginning voice lessons. She is passionate about fostering a supportive and creative environment for students of all ages.
